Continuous learning

Life is confusing.
Most of the people never get the results they want in life is due to –

- They stop learning after a certain age - They ONLY learn and never implement - They learn and implement but they never refine and modify - They refine but they never upgrade
But they forget that getting a proven guidance can reduce their time curve to such an extent that they can see results in no time if they put the right kind of effort and attitude.
You are never too old to stop learning. It is a choice one makes if one decides to stop learning. My mom who is 85 does not make it a point to learn anything new, other than to listen to the daily news. But, when talking to me she says she learns all sorts of new things she never knew before. She claims she is too old to change or learn anything new. I don’t agree with that philosophy.
People that have mental disorders or have been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer have an excuse for why they stopped learning - in fact, they are lucky to remember what they’ve already learned!
It seems to me that education is prevalent during childhood up until 12th grade. If one goes on to college, there is still much more to learn. After receiving the degree(s) a student seeks, I feel that most people at that point don’t make education a priority, and just don’t see a valid reason for continuing to learn.
Some careers require continuing education or courses to stay updated in their field. But, beyond that, or on-the-job training. However, one of the most important things a person has yet to do, and should continue into advanced age, is to be able to say, “I never stop learning and growing in knowledge.”
Are you in above of the above category or you are in a 5th category - where you continue to learn, implement, fail, get up and grow?
